Artist's CommentsThis is the original character I created inspired by the anime Bleach. The drawing style itself is, of course, inspired by `karincoma (because she rocks my fucking socks). Started in PS CS2 and finished in PS 5.5 Close-ups: [link]  POSSIBLE BLEACH SPOILERS AHEAD Ruler of Hueco Mundo Name: Lady Helena Gender: Female Species: Ancient Hollow Title: Queen of Hueco Mundo Abilities: Monitors activities in SS through Hell Butterflies; Performs chantless kidou flawlessy; Has reiatsu equal to the King of SS. Origin: Before there was Soul Society and Hueco Mundo, there was only Heaven and Hell. These dominions were separated by rules that were very black and white: Forgiven souls went to Heaven, and souls that had committed sin went to hell. The story begins with two Gods: The God of Reincarnation, Lord Adonai, and the God of Death, Lady Helena. Lady Helena performed her duties without fail every day, which required her to transport souls t either Heaven or Hell. Both of them served under the King of Heaven, who was responsible for all of creation. As the population of the living world grew, and the human race became more civilized, they began to build religions that hailed death and the afterlife. Even so, there were still those who feared death and fought hard to maintain their worldly possessions. Lady Helena witnessed all this and wondered why any human would want to remain in the living world, living such a terminal existence. Along with this, she began to feel extremely burdened and heartbroken for the souls who were repentant and were still sent to hell. It weighed heavy on her heart. She felt that perhaps to understand them better, she should become like them. So she did this. Those that are part of the King of Heaven's realm could simply strengthen and centralize their reaitsu to make their bodies solid. This would make them "human" and visible to other humans. She went down to the living world (to the land now known as Egypt), made herself human, and walked through the desert until she reached a small group of vagabonds. They sold their wares, performed dances, and did odd jobs to make money. As soon as they spotted her they grabbed their weapons and watched her intently. She re-assured them that she meant them no harm, and her soft voice was enough to convince them. She sat with them for a while, learning about their beliefs and way of life.\ Then, out of nowehre, a band of marauders on horseback came riding up to them intent on robbing and killing them. Helena was frightened but determined to defend these humans who had been so kind to her. One of the marauders came barreling down and was heading straight for one of the women. Helena stepped in between them and told the woman not to worry. However, she knew she must not kill any of them. It was strictly forbidden for her to cause the death of any living being. She was only allowed to deal with the soul after the death of the living body. She tried her best to defend the humans, but little did she know that destiny had already been written. One of the men came barreling down, his horse bucking wildly, and tried to stab Helena with his dagger. He missed and she managed to grab it away from him. In the action of tearing it out of his hand, she accidentally stabbed another of the marauders in the heart. He had been charging up behind her. She cried and screamed, now more frightened than ever. The skies above began to turn black and the marauders were scared off by the King of Heaven's display of power. She begged and pleaded to be forgiven, but it was no use. She had performed an unforgivable sin. The King of Heaven banished her from Heaven and made her completely human. She remained with the vagabonds for five years, and one of the men soon became her husband. Five years later, he was found dead, and she was the first to be blamed. She was stoned to death, her body was chopped into pieces, and left for the vultures. Because she was not buried properly (as was the custom), her soul could not find rest. Within the hour, she became the first hollow. In her anger and rage, she devoured seven other spirits until she was stopped by Lord Adonai. He appeared before her and told her she must stop this at once. She said to him, "I may have lost hope, and I may never find forgiveness, but I will nurture and care for all those souls that are forgotten in the future. Every soul you forget, I will keep within my heart forever..." Long before Helena descent to Earth as a human, the King of Heaven had created Soul Society and Hueco Mundo. Soul Society was to be a safe haven for all those souls that had not reached full forgiveness, but were good souls nonetheless. Hueco Mundo was created to be a reminder of the desert where Helena had fallen from grace. As the King of Heaven made Helena the Queeen of Hueco Mundo, he said to her, "Forever shall you be ruler of a barren wasteland... the land you chose over the paradise I had given you." Adonai was made the King of Soul Society. This happened 70,000 years ago. Since then, Helena has watched over her domain with both a firm hand and a caring heart, making sure her hollows are well taken care of. Importance in the Story Adonai and Helena, for the most part, are forbidden from interfering in the matters between SS, HM, and Earth. They must leave such matters to the shinigami, hollows, and humans. When necessary, however, both Heaven and Hell can send influences to handle things that can not be solved by any of the three. For quite some time, Helena has watched as Aizen has wreaked his havoc among three different worlds, including her own kingdom, and soon... will grow tired of Aizen's insolence. Zanpaktou Name: Hölle Falter History: "Every soul you forget, I keep within my heart forever...Even those that do not survive you." - Hölle Falter Hölle Falter's power lies in the production of hell butterflies. For every soul saved by a shinigami, the hell butterfly created during the process makes her Zanpaktou more powerful and more beautiful. Sealed State - Rise, Hölle Falter The hilt is black and the blade is white. It has two ribbons coming out of the hilt. It is infinitely more powerful than any Shinigami blade and can destroy any Hollow, regardless of evolutionary level/power. Released State: Reanimat, Hölle Falter The ribbons stemming from the hilt become long chains, and her robes become tattered and worn. These robes represent the clothes she wore when she lived as a human nearly 70,000 years ago. Chains hang down from the folds in her robes and drag across floor when she walks. Her hair grows long and turns into butterflies in the wind. Extra Abilities: In order to ensure that her power remains unequaled by any shinigami or any hollow, the hell butterflies allow her the capacity to emulate the powers and abilities of any spiritual being that comes into contact with it. Since nearly all the captains have touched a hell butterfly at some point, she can emulate nearly all their shikai and bankai abilities. This was discovered by Lady Helena, however, on her own many centuries after The Great Divide. Comments nice...great character
and i like the bio  wicked image......i love the flow of the dress and the slightly elongated form.....  Awesome! I don't watch Bleach on a regular basis, but I know enough to know that she'd make an awesome addition.
