How to Draw Realistic Hair with a Mouse.

I hope this helps some of you out. A lot of people have asked me over the last few months how I draw the hair for the girls in my deviations, so here is my secret! Well it's not really a secret, but yea... it's my own personal technique. If it works for you, awesome! If it doesn't, I apologize. But I always like to try and help when I can.

And also, this was definitely not meant to look professional or anything. If you still think the final result looks bad, just remember that this was merely for educational purposes and not meant to be part of a finished product. Thank you.

Enjoy!!

Done in Photoshop 5.5
Hours: 2

If this comes in handy, note me/comment me and let me know! I'd love to know if this really helped people out. :D

P.S. I realized after I submitted this that there are a few typos and misspellings, but just ignore them, k? I do know how to spell, it's just... these things can get confusing what with all the text layers required. hehe. :slow:

I love you! :hug: You're a life saver sweetie... I too only have a mouse on me (unfortunately) and this is VERY helpful indeed.
I usually use a speckled brush but this seems easier, I'll have to try this out when I have the time :aww:

Thanks for sharing this :heart:

Oh excellent! I don't use photoshop but the general technique is very easy to understand and apply to the program I am using. So thanks, this is very helpful!

A heart at the end of its' tether
Swiftly descending into blame,
Pain lasts only a minute,
Resounds through generations forever;
The aftermath, it spells my name.
you're welcome! :D
