Kill the mediocrity.
There has got to be a better way.
There has to be a change today.
We need to open our eyes
and expand our minds.
Don't be a victim of the mainstream.
What works once may work again
and again
and again
and again
but every again becomes another mistake.
Your formula is hard to swallow.
Kill the lack of creativity.
Kill the need to be like everyone else.
Kill the mainstream.
Kill the mediocrity.
Sit down,
shut up,
and be unique.

This is not a statement against any of the stock providers. It is not their fault that the manipulators who use their stock have zero imagination. This is a statement against the endless barrage of images that all look the fucking same. Stop trying to be what people expect you to be. Do your research. Just because miss princess this or miss dark one that has a gallery full of the same bullshit doesn't mean you, the young, inexperienced maniper, has to follow their boring and extremely played out example. Live, learn, and be unique.

haha.
um
*ahem*

seeing as i used to be one of those amateurs who used to think those kinds of over-copied works were awesome...^^; i actually agree with you. it's so easy to create the same thing over and over again. i guess that's why i'm having a harder time creating art now... it takes a lot more effort to be creative and innovative.

I  you.

Even though I am totally guilty of what you're talking about here, all I could think of when I read what you wrote was, "Wordy McWord." This is a very powerful image alone, without your words to go along with it, but after reading your comment, it's all just so hilarious. I love how the birds have been killed as well (I am SO guilty of overusing them), the blue-hued sky and water...and that DAMN skirt! I mean, it's a gorgeous skirt, but how many hundreds of times have we seen this skirt in manips?! Seriously!

Anyway, fabulous job. You've made a great statement with this manip, and of course you put all the stocks together so wonderfully, as usual. Bravo!

My stock
Poor crows  and yet I like the impact of this manip. Really great to see you telling us to open our minds :aww: I could almost dare to say that your works are "inspirational" but I don't think I get my inspiration on any deviant ^^; LoL
But your personality... your devotion to your creations, are the real inspiration. You can go from something emotive to conceptual in so different styles and never losing your personal touch.

(errrr.. I think I'm typing too much. Nevermind) keep up and let's hope that we'll (manipulators) stay loyal to ourselves.

I did it a few times as well, but stopped as soon as I saw what an increasing trend it became. I even deleted one of the my pieces because it used "that skirt" in it. I didn't want to be one of the crowd.

Sometimes you need an outside muse to inspire the inside muse, if that makes sense. Find what inspires you outside of the artistic sense, and bring that into your art. =)

Haaahahahaha, greatest manipulation Iīve seen in a long while. The dead birds hit home in my case, since I use those a lot, but otherwise Iīve been trying to steer away from this theme, no need for me copying it since others seem to love to do it. Just a few days ago I checked out the most popular photomanips on my frontpage (added those with the customization thing), and all of the pics on the row was a manip using girl/ocean theme. Sucked.

But anyway, top notch job with the statement and the actual image, Iīd add it to favs but I donīt support the DA-watermark, it looks like someone spitted on the image. People should really use more personal watermarks, they protect the image just as any other, and it wouldnīt ruin the image so much.

Keep it up, your manips are always a pleasure. :peace:

Tired and lonely. Sitting and staring
Weak and filthy. No longer caring
Wasting to nothing. The rubble of you
Hoping for something. Poison where love grew
