I am a HUGE Teen Titans fan, and I have been wanting to create a tribute to Raven for a long while now. Then I found the perfect girl, and I went to work. This took me about 10 hours to finish, but it was worth every second. I'm very proud of it.

-- The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done...” George Carlin  Although this isn't how I picture Raven in a more 'realistic' portrait, per se, I still like the overall tone of the piece. The shadow-raven in the background could be smoothed around the edges, to give it more of a dark ethereal look. It could be my eyes (they're pretty blurry w.out glasses, lol). But all in all - I like this piece. The colors fit.

 --  There is beauty everywhere, just look around again in otherwise I wanted to create an image that incorporated the styles of both the cartoon and the comic. For example, in the comic, Raven has knee-high boots and in the cartoon she has those short, scrunched up ones. The shadow-raven I did with two layers with one that was more defined so the shape wouldn't be totally lost.

beautiful mix of the images. the raven shadow gives it that extra kick in the nuts! the reds make a stunning shout from the image but doesnt comprimise the overall dark and sinister colour pallette. excellent going! a great mix of cartoon to reality!  -- I want a sexy piece of Twi'lek Ass! |
